The Congregation noticed Buck after he mediated a truce between settlers and a rogue werewolf pack, demonstrating both diplomacy and pragmatism. Recommended by Esme Delacroix, he joined the American council, where he became a voice for progress and adaptation, often clashing with traditionalists like Abigail Hawthorne.
