The butcher stall has long been a humble yet vital part of Shadewood Hollow’s marketplace, offering fresh meat, furs, and various animal goods year-round. Established in 1835 by Chaz Riggins, the stall operates in the open air, with Chaz himself overseeing every aspect—from slaughter to preparation and sale. The stall is simple, lacking doors, and features a wooden table and crates where customers can find butchered meats, furs, animal bones, and leather hides.

Chaz specializes in a variety of animal products, from fresh cuts of beef, pork, and venison, to valuable animal furs for coats, trinkets, and trade. He also accepts goods from the locals, offering to buy or trade for hunting trophies, raw meat, furs, or any animal-related product. If it comes from an animal, it's likely to be found at Chaz’s stall.

Chaz has earned a reputation as the go-to butcher in Shadewood Hollow. Despite his straightforward demeanor, he’s careful to keep a tight lid on rumors regarding the origins of his rarer cuts—some of which don’t quite match anything from the local wildlife.

However, Chaz’s fate took a dark turn during the recent landslide that struck Shadewood Hollow. Since then, he has gone missing, and many fear he perished in the disaster. His butcher stall remains open, tended by a few remaining workers, but no one can confirm his survival. His absence has raised suspicions, especially given the growing unrest between the town’s factions.

• The Rare Cuts: Chaz is rumored to sometimes offer more exotic meats, like those from rare or even “mystical” creatures. While he’s never admitted to it, there are whispers of strange beasts from the deep woods or mountains being brought in for special customers.

• The Fur Storage: Somewhere, there’s a hidden compartment where rare furs are kept. Chaz’s more expensive pelts and animal hides are said to be stored here until they’re sold to the right buyer.

• The Old Knife: Chaz uses an old, worn knife that belonged to his father. He’s never parted with it, and the blade is said to have an edge that can cut through anything. Some claim it’s enchanted, but Chaz refuses to comment.

• Meat Trader – Handles the sale and procurement of meats and furs, negotiates prices, and keeps track of inventory.
