Backstory

Victor Draven, born in 17th-century Russia, was the ambitious son of a blacksmith, driven by a desire for freedom and power. His life changed when a mysterious Greek vampire, Nicholas Balaska, offered him immortality. Victor eagerly accepted, only to find himself bound by the rigid hierarchies of vampire society and The Covenant. Resentful of authority, he clashed with Nicholas and ultimately became a rogue after killing a fellow vampire and fleeing.

 

By the late 19th century, Victor had spent over a century evading The Congregation’s enforcers, arriving in Shadewood Hollow as a dangerous and defiant presence. He openly disregarded The Covenant, feeding recklessly and challenging the supernatural order, putting him at odds with local factions like the Ironhowl werewolves and the Coven of the Hollow Veil.

 

Victor fancies himself a revolutionary, advocating for supernatural dominance over humanity and rallying disillusioned beings to his cause. However, his arrogance and reckless behavior alienate more than they inspire, leaving him isolated with only a small number of supporters, and vulnerable despite his charisma and combat skills.

 

In Shadewood, Victor’s defiance destabilizes the fragile peace, forcing supernatural factions to confront their loyalties and beliefs.
